Moisture in tube Empty Moisture in tube

I purchase a used Marauder and began with a cleaning. When I got inisde the storage tube I found corrosion of the aluminum and rusting of the tube where the valve adapter was sitting. This has been cleaned up and the gun is ready for crono. It makes me wonder if this gun was filled with a hand pump?

Was the valve dry on the outside when you took it out, it should have had a light coat of good oil. Regards, Tom

    Sounds like the hand pump.
