New Marauder Pistol Empty New Marauder Pistol

Post by StubExt Sun Feb 26, 2012 1:28 pm

I ordered and received a Marauder Pistol for the squirrels in my front yard out to about 30 yards. I picked up a Hawke 4-12 Panorama with an etched glass 10x 1/2 MD reticle that is beautiful. Unfortunately the gun had a slow leak overnight so I shipped it to Crosman for a redo. I have some fancy RB Grips coming out of cocobolo.

Here is my gun (the other was from the grip vendor). The grips and forearm are beautiful. The gun is very accurate with H&N Green 12.65 gr pellets (<1/2" groups @ 30 yards). FTTs are pretty good as well but the Greens are more consistent. The Hawke Panorama scope with the etched glass 1/2 md 10x reticle was built for this gun as a rest shooter.

Beautiful, Stub! Absolutely Out Air Gun Standing! cheers Cool cheers

Lot of hardware though, it would seem. to hold up to find and then hold a bead on a target free hand.

I'm thinking skeleton breakdown shoulder stock---something fast or on the fly. Question

Thanks! It is definitely setup as a "rest" gun. These are really not supposed to be freehand pistols and pistol is a stretch. Even a tree or my front door snuck open work great though on lower magnification. They do come with a carbine stock but for me this setup makes it deadly to about 50 yards on squirrels and smaller quarry.
