Any of you have kids or grandkids (like I do) that like to shoot airguns?

I have a 6 year old grandson who likes to shoot his BB gun at the targets I bought for him last Christmas. I got him a set of various animals he could "hunt" He loves shooting the racoons, crows, rabbits, coyotes, etc. in the pictures on the targets. I also got him a life-sized printout of a deer so he could deer hunt just like his dad and PaPa Bruce!! Boy did he love that one!!!

I don't get much of a chance to shoot with him as they live 4 hours away, so not going to have a weekly get-together like I'd like, but when i do, we have a great time and I let him shoot PaPa's pellet guns too. He also loves to have me shoot his, and really loves it when I miss and he hits the target!! Laughing Laughing (I still think he has that Red Ryder rigged....) Laughing Laughing

Ah, well, I don't have any of the young ones: No grand kids, but I do have a nephew . . .

As a matter of fact I hadn't seen him for a very long time until here recently. He's into archery it seems.

We talked a little bit about AGs and his ears seemed to perk up. Next time I go down there I think I'll take a couple of my best shooters and see if we can spend some time bridging the gap of many years lost between us.

Air Guns do seem to be a good way to get some kind of common denominator. I kept thinking what would be common ground to breach the awkwardness of meeting family you've never known in the years your memory would work for you (I was there in his life when he was an infant to toddler but not at a time he'd remember much.)

Good memory generator. I sort of envy you having that time with your family in the younger more impressionable years.

But it's never to late to hug a nephew, is it? (Well, the men in our family do the hand shake thing but you know what I mean, right?)

Great to see you are passing on the traditions to yours though! Great candidate for AG!

It's going to be a little harder to find something to do with my niece . . . Just can't see her with a gun of any kind in her hands!
