Bought a new rifle yesterday, it shipped today

I saw a rifle on the Yellow yesterday, I have its little brother and like it so much, when this one came up at what I though was a steal, I could not resist.

It is a FX Royale 500 Synthetic stock with a 4x16 Hawke Sidewinder with a side wheel.

My Fx Roylae 400 is such a incredable hunting rifle, consistant, quiet and deadly. Turns out the seller and I had a lot in common, we look enough alike to be brothers, are the same age, he has a quote on his Avator of my favorite movie and wehave the same floor tile in our houses. And until this morning he had both my money and my new rifle.

The seller says the rifle likes Kings which I have a good supply of.

Life goes on, its a dark and dirty job playing with these rifles, but lord Knows it has to be done.

I've already sold what I can part with in my Air Guns, Air Guns being my legal tender these days, and I just can't reach that far.

I just had the cash to buy that one but didn't see it and instead invested in a new project I have to keep under raps for a while.

You bought the gun and me pestering you about it. Bet you didn't know you got that along with the package, did ja!

And it gets here on 3-12-12, the day after my 5th anniversary.

It will be interesting comparing it to the 400.

Remember cash is just liquid air guns.

They upped the date to 3-14-12, which is today. And the tracking record says both packages are out for delivery/

The seller shipped it in two packages, the rifle, mag, rings and single shot adapter in one box and the Hawke 4x16 Sidewinder in a 2nd package.

Funny thing, they took two different routes, I thought the scoe had been lost, but they are both on their way to me as I type this.

It is rough being a kid wiating for Cristmas twice in three months, the little brother the Royale 400 came at Christmas. And I do love that Royale 400. I am used to shooting AirForce rifles and the zerol is something you get used to chasing, it wanders, whether form frame fles or from PSI remaing in the tank, but before you go hunting you check the zero. The Royale 400 is just on all the time it seems.

Yesterday, it was windy and raining as only the Pacific NW can do, I shot from the garage at 40 yards and did a quicky 5 shot group without bags over the 58 Mercedes, less than half an inch, right where it should be. That is why I bought another Royale.

I am reading that current Royale 500's are made on new higher production equipment, and they have feeding problems with both the mag and the single shot adapter and things like the LDC touching the barrel. My rifle is 5xxx serial number, the new ones are in the 65xxx number range.

Pretty pleased with the price, it was $1450. for the scope, rifle and shipping.

Great buy, I haven't gotten into those as of yet, closest is a cyclone. I'm on lists for five different Rangers, so I'm trying to resist buying any other air guns for a while.

They should come pretty much in the order listed. We have been working on this for a year, I have made many changes and Dan has been really good about it.

Hi Dan, The below are where we are at. The colors can be pepper and gun metal grey. To recap, I should be on Lists for:

Might want to change the next two to 32" barrels if performance justifies. Would like to discuss it later.
.308 28" " ------------Barrel length hasn't been discussed yet

All to have matching colors and stocks if possible, would like the long weaver mounts, please mention any other small items that are available.

It came in just before I had to go out to dinner. Very accurate at 40 yards, doing 1/2 inch at 870 FPS and the same after turning it up to 985 Fps.

That is more power than I want, I will turn it down to 920 or so tomorrow.

Compared to the Royale 400 it is huge!

Tom, I have the 45 Ranger entry level with walnut stock. I have three different molds for it, I get 800 FPS with the 408 grain SWC I have. Rangers are great guns.

Wow, that is two handfuls of rifle you are holding there. Very nice. One of the reasons I'm into the Rangers is that I read your fine series of posts on your rifle over yonder in the Talon. There are bigbores that can match it in one respect or another, but not overall.
