well, as an update, we went three days in a row. all 4 of us limited every day (3) the largest was about 15.5lbs. we drifted egg sacks on casting gear with 6lb test. i lost a monster, probably upwards of 20lbs. 
then the rain came and the river got too high and muddy. we're waiting for the water level to go down and we'll be back at it next week.
