Re: anyone here today?
You sound like Dick Proenneke, a guy after my own heart. Ever heard of him?
Don't cheat now! No Google-ing!
Been cold here too.
I've got a problem with my arm and neck or I'd of been posting more here myself. Been slow here of late.
What would you have hunted?

Re: anyone here today?
Well, this guy lived in the remote parts of Alaska. PBS, the public broadcasting system, did a piece on him (or I'd never heard of him either).
Anyway, he lived a live in the wilderness all by himself. Sort of like Grizzly Adams
I could say more but here's a link from Wiki: ABOUT DAN It's a good comparison, if one were to be compared to anybody that is and a good one. Something I'd love to have done and was, in reality, my childhood dream.
Using Google, here are a lot of video links about him: VIDEO LINKS ABOUT Proenneke
I can tell though, by what you hunt, they things you write about, the way you hold yourself, all that good stuff, I'd enjoy having a beer or dinner with you and yours and me and my wife. Wish you lived closer. Sounds like we have a lot of common denominators.
Well, I'm having to write all this with my left hand and I'm right handed. I have some issues we are trying to get taken care of and soon I'll be able to pick back up posting about the things I've had to table. This site, the people here, they are what keeps me going and I'm glad to have you as a member here, Griz.
