Re: so, who's going hunting
Saw a ground hog cross the driveway and thought about getting the camo on and setting up a hide, and remembered, the bounty $$$$ was cancelled. So I thought about just tossing out a few carrots instead. Now the weather has turned cold, snowing and the Killer wind out of the north is howling again. Thinking April will better hunting and I know that whistle pig's will be fatter anyway?

I don't know who all is going but I'm get'en mighty jealous regardless. Weather there isn't near as bad as up there but I still can't go. Maybe one day here this summer? Got some cousins down in Florida around Tallahassee that have some land out in the bone docks and close to the preserves there.07condor22 wrote:Saw a ground hog cross the driveway and thought about getting the camo on and setting up a hide, and remembered, the bounty $$$$ was canceled. I'm waiting until summer---maybe early spring the way the weather is going around here, to break out my gear and get everything tuned up and shinny spitting at the target with perfection. Can't wait. Hoping by then the doctors will have my arm working well enough to do some real damage to my projects I've tabled.
I'm hoping to bag a hog with my Infinity---yea, it's only a .22 but man, what a *.22* ! EJ 32.4 at 933 FPS gets me about 63 FPE out of the barrel! Hot .22 and I've not seen anyone posting pics about a good hog kill with a .22. Manny posts a lot of hogs he's killed with his .25s and all that and they are good kills but it makes me wanna get out there and do my thing even more.
But, to be sure, I don't want the wrong impression to be gotten here: It's DANGEROUS to go after a hog with an under powered AG and in some states it may not even be legal so check your local laws and hunting rules before you attempt to get a big sow with ANY air gun!

Now I didn't know he'd taken some with the "Killa" as he calls it. Yea, he's the reason I ended up with a RS instead of a M-rod. I've never looked back since.nyhunter wrote:manny has also taken a few hogs with his 22 cal rainstorm! he's one heck of hunter, the man is hardcore! just look at his pics, he's got the "1000yd stare" lol
Copy that on the 1000 yard stare!
That's okay: I'll get mine one day! Just wait! You'll see! ARGH!
