A PCP fit for 25m competition

I'm looking for something to set my sites on for competition shooting in 25m at 20 ft lbs.

I'm not really up on all what is allowed and shot at this level or power range, but I'd like to find something that is that I can start saving my pennies for to buy.

I don't want something that it's going to be sacrilegious to put a scope on it because that's exactly what I'll do with it.

I've seen a lot of specially made AGs out there and some custom made just for the competitions.

My goal:

I want to take the lowest end best bang for the buck AG for this class I can find, mostly on account of I HAVE no account, cash wise, to buy it, and beat the snot out of the competition with it at a shoot.

I'm one eyed, in a wheelchair most of the time and I have my limits on what I can do physically. I don't want to just go to a shoot with a great air rifle and win, I want to take a run of the mill something that is accepted and win on skill, not by machine---no offense to those great shooters out there---Todd Banks probably won't read this anyway, right?

I want to NOT have the best shooting vise bench, NOT have the best air gun rifle, and NOT have all the perks that most pro's do.

I want to take something I can afford, practice with it and at least get in the top ten, 15---oh, hell, I'll be happy to get on the list!

But I want to do it knowing that I did it with run of the mill stuff.

Sound like a challenge worthy of my efforts to me. Might even give me something to focus on these days.

Anybody got any ideas on what kind, make, model of air rifle, single shot, mulitshot, I don't care, as long as it is accepted as a qualifying air rifle I can buy to meet this goal?

I've heard that .22 caliber is best but I'm open to any that will qualify.

Here are my two Korun worth; The CZ-200. It has outstanding accuracy that is consistent from gun-to-gun. They are available in .22 and can easily be turned up to 19fpe. The price is very reasonable. The only drawback is the stock is not exactly the best design-but I know a guy in AZ. that has a precut stock on the shelf that would be a good [did I say good - I meant great] replacement.

Another great 25m gun is the TAU-300. It has great everything!!! But the price is 2 1/2 times the CZ-200.

If it was up to me ---I'd just buy one of each

I heard about that guy in AZ . . . got some nice stocks from what I hear. Can make you something real nice too.

Seriously, all my AG stuff, except for the smelting pot I'm liable to get for Xmas, has had to be put on the back burner. Even to posting here . . . I've had to slow it all way down. Even to a creep.

I've got this probate thing where, really, from what I've been told and what I'm actually seeing, the lawyers make all the money and I'm stuck feeding a money hole. Xmas is a great time of year and all but that is eating into my capital as well.

Shucks, I've got this twin Shoebox thing where I got two of them going, got Joe to build me a T with a gauge and check valves and found that my old one had a bad check valve---I'm hoping. I've had to abandon that project for the time being as well.

But the good thing about having a place like this is the information is available for latter look see remembrance.

I'm hoping that I can do like Tom (ORairgunner) and build my own little gun room where I can finally get around to tinkering and working on AGs the way I want to. It's 26x26 and detached but right now it's got a bunch of crap in there for the yard and some wood work we had to get done in here. The way it looks all my AG stuff is set back over a year. UGH!

The shop is already there and all but all my AG stuff is stuck in my little man cave in the house---a 10x10 room. Yea, it's tight and when I run my Shoebox compressors and close the door, it's very quiet in the rest of the house but, still, sitting right next too it I'm not happy while trying to concentrate on computer stuff . . . Oh, well, BP & moan, I guess. Things could be worse. I could not have all this stuff, right?

My interest in the competition got started with my first shoot I went too at the World Bench Championship Competition and some talks with Will Piatt who placed 12th. (nothing to sneeze at when you are talking about placing in the WORLD, not just the local contest). In a wheelchair most of the time I think this is something that I could actually compete: I'm not that bad a shot, really and, well, it all seemed feasable.

But for now, I'll have to say thanks for the post but I can't do anything right now. The info is great and, maybe, one day, if I'm lucky, I'll get to meet that masked man in AZ or, if not, maybe get some of his work that is sure to be something of a collectible at some point or the other.
