While it is an administrative action that you can't us the PM feature until you've made one post here, recently, the board panel was updated and it was noted that there was an option added to disallow new members of less than a week in membership to post external links and/or email addresses.

This option was defaulted to "active" without my knowledge.

I've since been made aware of this and have turned the feature OFF.

Our forum still maintains a policy of posting any link that is air gun related, and some not, as long as it is not spam, at our friendly site.

Ironically, this new feature was enacted to stop spamers and those out to otherwise harm and hack sites like ours.

While we appreciate the new "whistles and bells', we had no idea that it was active and we apologize for not knowing about it.

It's just another case of a lock actually keeping the honest man out . . .

    Sincerely,

    The Management.

The smiley I fixed wasn't in this forum, was it?

Anyway, the one I fixed is because a lot of people forget to leave a space after the last word in the sentence and it the semicolon is picked up as a semicolon and not part of the code.

If you look at a smiley face in text mode is looks like a semicolon and an cap P. It comes out as a smiley face. When you don't leave a space after the last word it doesn't see it as code.

If you will notice, I quoted your text, right? The smiley face works in this one and my reply. That is because I choose to move the entire thing one space past the last word.

    Just a little thing. Happens.

    Gotta go eat spaghetti!
