First let me acquaint you with me and my situation. I am a life time shooter and ditto air gun shooter. Shooting and hunting are a passion for me.
Second, I am 64 years old and disabled. Not to where I can not do anything but enough it affects my choice of equipment, and I can no longer go on long all day hunts. Only short distances for a couple of hours most.
Also since I am on SS disability, my money supply is severely limited and becoming MORE limited as my wife lost her job and don't want to work any more. That's what I (and all you old farts looking for a young woman) get for marrying a woman 8 years younger than me.
When I was younger and worked I made tons of money and bought a bunch of air guns. Some were hardly shot and most were not scoped till I started hunting with them. I still have a few half dozen or so not scoped.
So these days my scope purchases are limited to the mid range moderate priced scopes. Like say a 4 X 16 X 50 Leapers AO IR or 4 X 12's or 3 X 9's all similar with ao and usually IR.
These are totally servicable and work fine except for the few I got defective from the factory. They are not like top of the line $600 - $1000 and unless I win several many millions in the state lottery never will be!
These guns serve my purpose well, which is plinking and huntion. When I can afford the equipment needed to compete at national and international levels in the different match disciplines then I will change my scope selection. Right now, thankfully Leapers, Center Point, Sunpoint and Tasco meet my needs.
