I actually got to shoot my first shots out of a compound bow here a few days ago while down south. First shot dead on at 30 yards, second shot I fogot to use the peep hole and it went through the fence. My second and younger cousin refused to let me take another shot! Mean-ie!
But it was enough to give me the bug. I want one now. It was a 70 lb pull and I was amazed that a man in my condition could pull it and hold it after it set.
I'm hoping to get back down there and get in some hunting. I want a hog with eiher my .22 or my new and improved Infinity. We had to forego the Rainstorm project---not enough meat for the bigger magazine.
Which reminds me, I've got to update my list of Ags under my user name.
I'll be hiting the bow and fishing range soon. I need to learn a few things if you guys are willing to share with a num nuts like me.
Man, I'll be SO glad when all this probate and VA stuff is over! I got things to do, a life to live!
Personal thanks to Admin Tom and the mods for looking out for the sight. I'm still here but have just a little more before I can take the time to post more.
What kind of bow you got, Griz?

actually, i have three, a pse firestom light(the bow is actually shorter than my arrows) a browning eclipse(made by pse) and a golden eagle carbon hawk.(big heavy bow set at 80#)the other two are 70#. i also have an old pse fire flite with no sights and just a flipper rest on it that is a dedicated bow fishing rig. most compounds today have 65-80% let off so they are very easy to hold once they "break" over mid draw. i would actuall like to go back to a stick and string and get a new recurve or longbow. are you right or left handed abda?
